Wichita company quickly shut just after vandal leaves considerable destruction

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Wichita small business was closed on Wednesday just after a vandal broke in and brought about comprehensive problems. The break-in took place Tuesday night time at Jenny Dawn Cellars, a winery on East Douglas in close proximity to Union Station.

“My protection cameras ended up disabled and I could not see what was occurring in my winery,” explained Jenny Dawn Cellars Owner Jennifer McDonald. “It was like he realized just wherever our security method was.”

McDonald said the vandal took an umbrella base and smashed a glass patio door. She mentioned he also drank and smashed bottles, vandalized her business, flooded the business’ celebration middle and trashed the storage area. She claimed he also compromised unfinished wine and broke winemaking devices.

“What’s foolish is about below, he actually got taken out from these overalls. Those are his. But this is the pipe that he just pulled out from below my sink and let the water run. This will make no perception,” explained McDonald as she explained the mess still left behind.

The winery operator stated she does not hold income in the small business so the man wasn’t able to steal any money, but he also wasn’t ready to escape.

“He was in my place of work and I have a substantial ceiling so there are a great deal of shelves in which I keep my paperwork,” McDonald spelled out. “He tore down all of the shelves. He was attempting to go out of this vent. That would make no perception. And glimpse the place the fire extinguisher is. But how are you supposed to get out of listed here? I don’t know what he was trying to do.”

McDonald said she arrived at the vineyard prior to the law enforcement and blocked the entrance door with her auto. When officers arrived, they arrested the male.

“I have poured 8 years of my life into this business. I was not likely to permit anyone leave or enter my vineyard,” she claimed.
