AmRest sells its KFC cafe small business in Russia for 100 mln eur

Dec 7 (Reuters) – Madrid-centered cafe operator AmRest (EATP.WA) claimed on Tuesday it agreed to offer its KFC cafe small business in Russia for at minimum 100 million euros ($104.48 million) to Russian restaurant and amusement firm Almira.

AmRest follows hundreds of Western businesses which have either withdrawn, sold or shut down functions in Russia considering the fact that the invasion of Ukraine in February.

The company mentioned the sale will not have to have even further impairments than the types booked in the accounting period of time ending in June.

Just before the Ukrainian crisis, Russia was a single of the principal marketplaces for the cafe operator.
